Why Hair Transplant is a Permanent Solution for Hair Loss

A hair transplant is widely regarded as a permanent solution for hair loss and baldness. The introduction of the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method in the year 2000, along with the expertise of leading surgeons, has alleviated concerns about surgical hair transplant procedures.

The first generation of FUE, known as the slit method FUE, involves extracting hair follicular unit grafts using 1 to 1.2 mm punches and implanting them back into the recipient area by creating slits on the skin using a scalpel or needles. However, this method did not consistently provide permanent solutions.

To improve the outcomes of hair transplants, researchers and hair restoration societies delved into enhancing the technique. The implanter method, developed by a Korean university, was a significant breakthrough. This method involves loading and implanting grafts directly onto the scalp without the need for recipient slits or holes.

Nevertheless, questions persisted regarding the depth, direction, density, sustainability, and natural appearance of the implanted hair. To address these concerns, researchers explored the use of natural stones in the implantation process. The breakthrough solution involved utilizing sapphire graphite stone pins to create minuscule v-shaped channels in the dermis layer of the skin, allowing the extracted grafts to be placed precisely. This technique promotes faster graft growth, with a settling time of only 72 hours and minimal risk of dislodgment. Within nine months, a natural growth cycle is achieved, surpassing the speed of other methods.

Conclusion:

Moreover, it has been observed that grafts implanted using this technique have a lifelong and permanent lifespan. This is attributed to the preservation process using ice cell technology. Leading surgeons around the world, including a few reputable clinics in India, have adopted this method, attaining an impressive success rate of 98%.
